| Additional Requirements: The TrackN device uses GPS satellites to gain a global position (similar to your In Car navigation unit). For the unit to then transmit that information back to the TrackN online service it requires a SIM card, the same as a mobile phone. The communication is through an open internet connection except for device set up and alerts which come from SMS credits. In order to set up your TrackN device you will require a SIM card with active web access. These are provided free from your mobile service provider, you will need to a prepay card or open an account. As the mobile providers all offer free SIM’s but have different rates for web access we recommend reviewing their current deals. (a free SIM with web access is available for under £8/mth) |
